MYX Music Awards 2010

Myx, the number one music channel in the Philippines, marked yet another victory as the biggest names in the music industry convened at the Myx Music Awards 2010 held at the Music Museum, Greenhills, San Juan City.

Pop Star Princess, Sarah Geronimo was the night’s biggest winner as she bagged four wins: Favorite Media Soundtrack (Record Breaker), Favorite Remake (You Changed My Life), Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Artist.

One of the astonishing highlights of the evening was the awarding of the the “Myx Magna Award” to the Philippine music icon, singer-songwriter Jose Mari Chan for his exceptional contribution to the Philippine music industry. The awarding was made even more special with a tribute medley performed by Jay-R, Richard Poon, Yeng Constantino, Jayson Fernandez of Rivermaya, Rachel Ann Go, Kean Cipriano of Callalily, and Christian Bautista.

The back-to-back performances of Hilera's "Radical" and Rico Blanco, who wowed the crowd not only with his highly energetic rendition of his anthemic hit song “Ayuz”. He surprised the entire audience with his Michael Jackson dance moves making it one of the most-talked about production numbers of the evening.

The stage was shared by artists from different TV networks with a string of never-before-seen performances making the statement that music is universal and binds everyone together.
